My brilliant friends, wow. I am seriously hype right now because one of you had the guts to ask this absolute banger of a question! Whether it’s the start of the year, the messy middle, or you’re dragging yourself to the finish line like a wounded animal, listen up. We gotta get hyped! We gotta summon some motivation to keep moving forward and upward.

I know what your future holds. You’re going to be stretched like a rubber band in a slingshot. You’re going to fail. Like, epically. You’re going to make every size of mistake from “oops” to “whoa, really?”

There will be days you feel stuck, sad, maybe even a little bit hopeless. And yes, I can hear you saying right now, “Wow, Iuri, you’re really crushing that hype vibe right now.” But hang with me, because here’s the truth.

Life is wild. It’s full of plot twists and unexpected character development, but it’s also full of absolute awesomeness, joy, friendship, love, awe, laughter, late night talks, sunrises, and small wins that make you fist pump the air like a cheesy movie!

So here’s what we’re going to do. I’m going to give you a toolkit to inject some adrenaline into your soul. A step by step guide to hype yourself up!

Are you ready?

1- Take care of your body and brain. Okay, first things first. I don’t know if you’ve realized this or not, but you have a body and a brain, and this lovely mechanism, this incredible engine, requires some basic things to run efficiently and not die.

Your body and brain require fuel. Eat food and stay hydrated. This is totally logical and true.

2- Fuel up. Eat real food, not just Hot Cheetos and chocolate milk. You’re not a goat! Hydrate because your life depends on it. Your body is always burning, and if you don’t refuel it, it’s going to run out of gas.

3- Rest. Your body is not a 24/7 vending machine. It needs sleep. So set up your room like a sleep fortress! Cool, dark, clean, quiet. And if you can’t sleep, power nap like a pro. Even superheroes recharge.

4- Move. Get that body moving! Walk, run, life, L.A.R.P., yes, that’s absolutely real. Don’t just count Rocket League or Wii sports as cardio. By the way, bonus points if you move outside, because sunshine equals nature’s Redbull.

5- Make a schedule. Your brain loves structure. Think of it like a heat seeking missile. It needs a target. Set a goal, make a plan, cue up your study snacks and music, and go beast mode!

(Pro tip: stand taller, breathe deeper, shoulders back, smile like you just got a text from your crush! Say hi to someone and watch your mood upgrade like a phone with a new update.)

6- Tap into social power. You are not a lone wolf. You’re a pack animal with AirPods and group chats! When you’re with people, your energy multiplies. One person hyped is cool. A room full of hype? Man, that’s a movement! Want to slay this school year? Become and get around people who bring good vibes. Find study groups, homerooms, siblings, friends, tutors, even your grandma if she’s chill! Create some social accountability. Basically, find your hype squad. It matters.

7- Bring the right mindset. Captain Jack Sparrow, yeah…the eyeliner pirate, once said, ‘The problem is not the problem. The problem is your attitude about the problem.’ Your brain can learn anything! Biology, math, dancing, Rocket League, social skills, anything you consistently and patiently train it to do. But, don’t be the person who walks around like the world owes them free Wi-Fi. Don’t be a hater. Don’t be a complainer. Don’t be that guy or gal. Be the one who grows, one who learns and adapts, one who levels up.

We’re not after perfection. We’re after progress. It’s not about chasing the A, it’s about chasing understanding. If you make your mindset your superpower, you will unlock energy and motivation like you’re holding the infinity gauntlet of personal growth!

8- Find your why. Nietzsche, the famous German philosopher (with an intense mustache, by the way) once said, ‘Those who have a why to live can bear with almost any how.’ Translation: if you know why you’re doing something, you can handle whatever gets thrown at you.

School is not just a boring NPC mission, it’s training. It’s a ticket, it’s a brain gym. It’s where you learn to study, test, ask for help, get humbled, and rise up again. It’s where you build the muscle of not quitting just because something is difficult. So stop fighting it. Instead, flip the script. You’re here to learn, grow, and build your future self. Your dream life needs this version of you to step up.

9- Design your hype zone. Curate your life like it’s your Instagram feed. Wherever you spend your time, your room, your phone, your locket, your mirror, make it a shrine to your best self. Quotes, posters, photos, hype playlists, vision boards, screensavers that slap, notes in your phone that remind you of who you are. I have windows in my office that are covered in quotes that keep me rooted in truth and power.

So my friends, wherever you’re at, beginning, middle, or clinging to the school year by your pink finger, use these steps (even just one) to get yourself hyped. You’ve got this! Now get out there and slay.
